Job purpose
To provide plant health care needs of trees and perform arboriculture-related activities for commercial and residential properties.
Duties and responsibilities
Perform plant health care requirements prescribed by an arborist (Insect/disease treatment, fertilization injections, and soil amendment requirements using an air spade.)
Accurately record and maintain necessary record keeping and reporting
Maintain a safe work environment
Compliance with company safety requirements and state and local regulations
Operating equipment necessary to complete tasks (Stump grinding, tractor, UTV, etc.)
Work with a tree trimming/removal crew as needed
Staking/cabling trees
Clean and maintain equipment
Driving large vehicles and towing equipment behind vehicles
Minimum Requirements
Valid Driver’s License
High School Diploma or equivalent
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Obtain pesticide applicators license within 1 year
Ability to wear proper PPE
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including the hot summer months
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Pass a criminal background check
Ability to perform the physically demanding tasks required
