The Liberty Group is looking for individuals who are available for emergency Fire Watch needs to help cover apartments when in need. Flexibility is a must, as we are unaware of when/where Fire Watch needs will be called in. FIRE WATCH
The primary role of the fire watch personnel is to serve as a temporary "human smoke detector"
and to notify building occupants at the first sign of smoke or fire. All fire watch personnel shall
have a mobile phone to be used to notify Public Safety that smoke
and/or fire has been detected. The person(s) assigned to a fire watch shall have the sole
responsibility of performing fire watch duties.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Conduct a continuous patrol of all designated areas at least once every 30 minutes.
Look for observable signs of smoke, fire, and hazardous conditions.
Enter all stairwells - open doors and look into each stairwell.
Enter all common areas including basements, lounges, laundry rooms, and bathrooms.
Fire Watch is also expected to respond promptly in case of emergencies, including evacuation procedures
Monitor activities in designated areas to ensure that fire hazards are spotted and addressed
Report any fire hazards or potential dangers to the supervisor or safety officer immediately
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be at least 18 years old
Reliable Transportation
Outstanding attention to detail and ability to spot hazards
Ability to remain calm and act promptly in emergencies
Physical fitness and ability to walk the designated areas throughout the day
Must be able to frequently prepare written reports and logs
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Follow all guidelines set forth by the client that we are servicing

Pay per hour: $20-$25/hr
