The Gatehouse Attendant I assists with the daily collection operations at the landfill, Material Recovery Facility (MRF) or transfer station and delivers professional customer service to all customers.
Written and verbal fluency in English;
Basic computer and internet navigation skills
Basic math skills;
Ability to identify the size and type of collection vehicles;
Ability to measure non-standard trucks and compute load sizes in cubic yards;
Ability to identify hazardous and special wastes;
Ability to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS);
Professional personal demeanor;
Reliable transportation; and
Availability to work after standard business hours, holidays and weekends, as scheduled.
Bilingual in English and Spanish;
High school diploma or equivalent;
At least one year of related experience; and
Must pass a tele-screen and 10-key tests.
