Ogle Properties is seeking an experienced In-House Painter to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the appearance of our commercial buildings through high-quality painting work, ensuring a fresh and welcoming environment for new and existing tenants.
Essential Job Functions include but are not limited to:
Perform wall surface preparation and repair for interior and exterior Suites, focusing on readying units for move-ins and turnovers
Repair drywall and other wall surfaces by identifying and correcting imperfections such as cracks, holes, and dents using techniques such as floating, sanding, patching, and taping
Apply spray textures to walls and ceilings to match existing finishes or meet new specifications
Sand, smooth, and level surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of finishes and consistent texture across all surfaces
Assist in preparing surfaces by cleaning, masking, and removing debris or damaged materials prior to repair or texture application
Operate and maintain texture sprayers and sanding tools to ensure efficiency and proper application
Apply primers and sealants as needed to surfaces prior to painting or texturing
Work collaboratively with maintenance and turnover teams to ensure timely and quality unit readiness
Protect surrounding areas (floors, furniture, fixtures) by masking and covering prior to surface work
Maintain equipment, manage materials inventory, and report supply needs
Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
Support cost-saving initiatives by repairing rather than replacing surfaces when possible and minimizing material waste
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Lead Maintenance or Property Manager to ensure efficient property operations
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years of experience painting
Strong knowledge of painting techniques, color theory, and proper use of painting materials
Proficiency in using various painting tools and equipment, including spray systems
Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality finishes
Good time management and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Basic math skills for calculating paint quantities and measurements
Use of general maintenance equipment, including but not limited to hand tools, and ladders; all equipment must be used without jeopardizing the safety of yourself, fellow associates, residents, and others.
