Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Assembly Person to oversee and participate in the assembly of high-quality cabinetry. This position requires a detail-oriented professional with strong leadership abilities, technical expertise in cabinetry assembly, and a commitment to quality and efficiency. The Lead Assembly Person will ensure that all cabinetry projects meet company standards and client specifications while supervising a team of assemblers.

Key Responsibilities

Assembly Leadership

Lead the assembly team in constructing cabinets from precut and prefinished materials.

Ensure adherence to design specifications, quality standards, and timelines.

Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders accurately.

Team Supervision

Train, guide, and mentor assembly team members.

Assign tasks and monitor team performance to meet project deadlines.

Promote a safe and efficient work environment by enforcing safety protocols.

Quality Assurance

Conduct inspections throughout the assembly process to ensure precision and quality.

Identify and resolve issues related to materials, assembly techniques, or workmanship.

Maintain documentation of quality checks and improvements.

Process Improvement

Recommend and implement workflow optimizations for greater efficiency.

Collaborate with management and other departments to enhance production methods.

Maintain an organized and clean assembly area.

Equipment and Materials Management

Operate and maintain assembly tools and equipment.

Monitor inventory of hardware, fasteners, adhesives, and other supplies.

Report material shortages or defects to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years in cabinetry assembly or a related field, with leadership experience preferred.

Skills:

Proficiency in using woodworking tools, power tools, and hand tools.

Strong knowledge of cabinetry assembly techniques and materials.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and technical documents.

Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs) and work on your feet for extended periods.

Manual dexterity and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with CNC machinery and edge banding equipment.

Experience with custom cabinetry or high-end furniture production.

Bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) are a plus.

Pay is based on experience up to $28/hr.
