The position is responsible for managing department supervisors in the planning and completion of all maintenance tasks, analyzing daily operations, and supporting the other members of the management team. manages the daily scheduling and workload for the staff, monitors repair and maintenance processes to ensure compliance with established procedures and tracks costs and expenses against the budget. This position also identifies training and development opportunities for department personnel.
High school diploma or equivalent,
5 years experience with maintenance management dealing with industrial heavy equipment fleets comprised of trucks, trailers, industrial equipment, composting equipment, material handlers, conveyors, compactors, excavation equipment, forklifts, welding equipment, pickups, trash trucks, support equipment, graduate of a technical school and 10-12 years experience,
Strong mechanical background preferably in heavy equipment,
Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment,
Demonstrate creativity and adaptability
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Excellent verbal and written communication skills,
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite – e.g. Word, Excel, Outlook
Safety or OSHA training certificate
Maintenance management/supervisory certificate and training
Computerized Maintenance Management Software training
Valid Texas Class C driver’s license
Safe driving record for the last three years
