Part time ranch hand needed for 10-acre hobby farm. Minimum $18.00 per hour (depending on experience) biweekly or monthly pay.
Job description- we are in search of a part-time handyman to assist with the upkeep of our 10 acre hobby Farm. This home to a variety of animals, including 14 alpacas, four goats, two donkeys, six rabbits, three Great Pyrenees,three barn, cats, chickens and a miniature pig.
Responsibilities- animal care.
Feed all animals in the evenings on weekdays. This typically takes about an hour.
Clean stalls and pens once a week to maintain a healthy environment.
Ground maintenance- shred two pastures monthly (depending on whether conditions could be monthly or quarterly). we provide the equipment.
Fence maintenance- inspect fence, both perimeter and interior and make any necessary repairs.
Improvement projects- assist with various projects, including building stalls decks working on fences and cabinetry work. These tasks would be paid in addition to the routine task above.
Requirements- prior experience working on a farm and with animals is required.
Strong, work ethic and the ability to perform task and varying weather conditions. Must be reliable, detail, oriented, and be able to work independently.
