We are looking to add a dedicated trash and sanitation member to our team at the Kyle Flea Market.
This is a 10 am to 6 pm, Saturday Sunday job.
A general day looks like arrival and ready by 10:00 am to do first round of checking the outdoor and indoor trash cans including the bathrooms, as well as checking the status of all the porta pottys onsite.
Emptying trash cans into dumpster
Breaking down boxes
Picking up loose litter and small trash from the ground with a grabber and a bucket
Driving the perimeter of the property to collect trash that has blown away in the wind
Removing trash from port a potty, closing lids, cleaning/sanitizing if soiled
To complete your tasks, you will be driving a side by side Polaris (ATV) to transport trash from the vendor area to the dumpster.
This service is repeated at
12:00, 2:00, 4:00, with last round completed by 6 to end your shift.
-You must have a valid drivers license with experience driving a side by side vehicle (Polaris)
-Ability and willingness to work with unpleasant waste materials, and do so safely.
-Ability to ask for support or different tools if needed
-Ability to use simple hand tools.
-Sufficient physical strength and ability to lift, move, and carry very heavy objects.
-Willingness to work under all conditions of weather. Although there is some indoor work, the building does not have HVAC so you must be able to operate safely in all weather conditions.
-Ability to communicate politely but firmly with customers and vendors about their trash.
-This is a W-4 position, and you must be able to fill out an I-9.
-Weekly pay via direct deposit
We are a flea market with indoor and outdoor sales space. Our customers and vendors generate a lot of trash and we are looking to add someone whose whole job is to address the trash and keep the market clean .
