If you have a passion for legal research and crafting the winning legal argument, enjoy the challenges of the discovery process, and want to work with a progressive law firm, this is the perfect job for you. We are looking for a lawyer with 4 or more years of experience to help us with discovery and motion practice. We are a small AV-rated Austin law firm concentrating in personal injury defense litigation. We have a laid-back, relaxed, and supportive team culture, and we work very hard on behalf of our clients. Our practice includes transportation law/trucking accidents, HOA cases, general liability, construction defects, and products liability. Once we are confident of your abilities we will set you loose on a full range of cases and issues. You'll get great experience, have a lot of autonomy, and enjoy the freedom and encouragement to develop your skills to the fullest. If you like, we can also get you into the courtroom to argue your motions. We'd like to hear from qualified applicants who can take a creative approach to writing and research, work independently, and produce polished results. We are located outside the downtown Austin area. This is an hourly, independent contractor position, and you will be working remotely. You must have strong computer skills, and experience billing your hours on the defense side is a plus.
