ABOUT
Join the ground floor of Texas's first premium space-tourism company. This is a rare opportunity to gain hands-on startup experience at the intersection of space, tourism, and entrepreneurship. You'll help shape real operations, outreach, and creative projects as part of a small, fast-moving team.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Assist with recruiting key staff (Tour Captain, Mission Specialist)
Gather and compare vendor quotes (transport, lodging, catering, activities)
Create marketing and media assets using Canva, InVideo, Midjourney, and AI tools
Support social-media setup, website updates, and CRM organization
Help plan and coordinate event logistics for launch-timed tours
Conduct market research and competitive analysis
Prepare project briefs and progress updates for the founder
WHAT YOU'LL GAIN

IDEAL CANDIDATE
Required: currently enrolled student (undergraduate or graduate); strong organization and communication skills; self-starter who works independently; located in the Austin area.
Preferred: interest in entrepreneurship, space, tourism, or hospitality; familiarity with AI and web tools; event planning or social-media experience.

Texas Space Tours is an Austin-based startup that brings space exploration to Earth. We're creating curated three-day expeditions to witness SpaceX Starship launches from South Padre Island, with first departures planned for Q1 2026.
Each trip is an all-inclusive journey from Austin to South Padre Island — combining luxury motorcoach travel, beachfront accommodations, and a rare chance to see human spaceflight up close. We collaborate with resorts, educators, and hospitality professionals to create an environment that fuses adventure, science, and shared discovery.
Founded by Austin entrepreneur and pilot Las Douglas Wengell (Emory MBA), Texas Space Tours, LLC also operates under Starship Texas Tours. Our 2026 launch season will feature pilot program tours, educational outreach, and internship opportunities in entrepreneurship, marketing, operations, and event logistics.
