Our client is seeking an experienced Plastic Injection Molding Technician to join their robst team of technicians. As a Plastics Injection Molding Process Technician, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and optimization of injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic parts and components. Your expertise in mold setup, process control, troubleshooting, and quality assurance will be essential in ensuring efficient production and adherence to customer specifications and quality standards.

Responsibilities
Set up and configure injection molding machines, molds, and auxiliary equipment based on production requirements, including injection pressure, temperature, and cycle time settings.
Adjust and optimize injection molding parameters to achieve optimal cycle times, minimize scrap rates, and ensure consistent part quality.
Handle and prepare raw materials, additives, and colorants for injection molding processes, ensuring proper drying, mixing, and loading procedures are followed.
Perform mold installations, maintenance, and changeovers, including cleaning, inspection, and troubleshooting of molds to minimize downtime and ensure production continuity.
Conduct regular inspections of molded parts using measuring instruments, visual inspection techniques, and quality control procedures to ensure adherence to specifications and standards.
Identify and troubleshoot issues related to machine malfunctions, process deviations, material inconsistencies, and part defects, implementing corrective actions as needed to maintain production efficiency and quality.
Maintain accurate records of production activities, process parameters, quality control data, and maintenance activities for documentation, reporting, and analysis purposes.
Adhere to safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to lockout/tagout procedures.
The essential functions of this role include:
working in a smoke free environment
wearing steel toe shoes
working in a non-temperature controlled environment
standing for 8 hours at one time
working weekends
