Job Title: House Manager
Location: Barton Hills, Austin
Job Type: Part-Time (5-10 hours per week, increase to 15-20 in January)
Job Description:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented House Manager to support our household. The ideal candidate will be proactive, taking initiative to assist with various household tasks. We need someone for 5-10 hours per week over the next 3 months, with the possibility of increasing to 15 hours/week starting in January when we have twin babies. Current availability is mainly required on Mondays for 5 hours (flexible timing), with additional tasks throughout the week as needed.
We are having twins in January and want to get to know someone and them get to know us before the babies come. We will need support in all things keeping our house in order.
Responsibilities:
- Straightening up the house (1x/week) in between cleaning services
- Returning packages
- Light meal prep
- Putting out the trash
- Grocery shopping as needed
- Running errands
- Supporting contractors and workers when present
- Laundry
- Organizing spaces around the house
- Light meal preparation
- Ad hoc household tasks
- Starting in Jan - helping with baby stuff (organizing, different support staff scheduling, make sure i have food to eat)
Qualifications:
- Attention to detail
- Proactive and dependable
- Strong organizational skills
- Comfortable with light physical tasks (e.g., grocery shopping, laundry)
- Previous experience in a similar role is a plus
- Experience with new moms/families is plus
Hours:
- 5-10 hours per week for the next 3 months
- Increased availability to 15 hours/week in January
- Flexible timing, but Mondays for 5 hours is essential
