Job Title: Operations Manager

Location: 1805 Aviation Drive Georgetown, TX 78628

Reports To: Vice President

Position Type: Full-Time; M-F 8:00am – 5:00pm

Job Purpose:

Leadership/Management of the wholesale warehouse and distribution center operations. Responsible for leading the team to meet company financial and operational objectives, creating a best-in-class shopping experience, setting standards in customer service, and assuring a safe, clean, and rewarding work environment.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

Leads meetings with management teams to foster communication and discuss business improvement opportunities

Attends cross-functional meetings to ensure consistent communication and address any company concerns

Accomplishes warehouse operations human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; planning and reviewing compensation actions; enforcing policies, procedures.

Achieves warehouse operations operational objectives by contributing warehouse operations information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying trends.

Meets warehouse operations financial objectives by forecasting requirements, supplying information for annual budgeting, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, initiating corrective actions.

Develops enhanced warehouse operations systems by developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; analyzing process workflow, manning and space requirements, and equipment/asset layout; implementing changes.

Maintains safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations.

Secures property by developing protection and access policies and procedures, coordinating with fire and burglary alarm companies.

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks.

Accomplishes warehouse operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required

Experience and Skills:

Experience in warehouse and distribution management

2-3 years of experience in a leadership role

2-3 years of experience in retail management (Convenience Store experience a plus)

Managing Processes, People Management, Supervision, Data Entry Skills, Data Entry Management, Data Processing, Dependability, Reporting Skills, Analyzing Information, Dealing with Complexity, Deadline-Oriented, Planning and Organization, Communication through verbal/written

Entrepreneurial thinker

Educational Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in business management, or equivalent business experience

Intermediate to high level knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools

Physical Requirements:

Long hours of sitting, standing, or walking

Extended period working in front of computer monitor

Must be able to lift 50lbs.

Occasional light travel

Direct Reports: Supervisors of; Purchasing, Receiving, Stockers, Pulling, Delivery, Front Sales, Reset

Indirect Reports: All warehouse staff
