Embedded (HW/SW) Engineer
Uptime Solutions has an opportunity at our Austin, TX location, for an Embedded HW/SW Engineer whose role is the development and production of digital/analog hardware systems.
This role involves the design of complex systems involving analog components, embedded microcontrollers, fpga, and radio sub-systems.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Develop new board level designs and products to expand our product offering.
2. Board level design using Altium. Boards include analog circuits, fpgas, embedded microcontrollers, dsp and arm processors, with embedded 900mhz, WLAN, and Bluetooth radios.
3. Verilog development for FPGA code.
4. Board bringup and debug.
5. Embedded SW development for microcontrollers and DSPs. Language is primarily C.
6. Software development on Linux systems using C++, Python, and bash scripts.
7. Development of network protocols for data transfer and device control.
8. Introduction of product to manufacturing.
9. Support for design issues uncovered during field trials.
Qualifications:
Education: B.S. in Electrical Engineering or CS required
