Lead DevOps Engineer (Pacific Investment Management Company, LLC (PIMCO) – Austin, TX); Multiple positions available. Perform software configuration/release management activities for applications. Design and implement Continuous Integration process and tools with approval from development and other affected teams. Build Java with Maven, .Net with Visual Studio and msbuild, and C with makefiles. Configure msbuild as a common build engine to build and promote applications to DEV, BETA, PROD and DR. Plugin Management, User management, Build/Deploy Pipeline Setup and End-End Job Setup of all projects. Work with business users and technical engineering teams to understand the requirements and work closely for any technical solutions and challenges. Collaborate with different individuals and teams on core DevOps behaviors. Work closely with Platform, Cloud, Infrastructure, and other groups to understand the functional requirements, convert them to technical requirements, produce designs, and implement solutions. Build reusable CI/CD Pipelines as Code using Quickbuild and GitLab in C as desired. Build, deploy, and operate containerized workloads in cloud environments. Position based in Austin, TX; telecommuting permitted up to once per week.
Requires a Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Physics, or a related field and 2 years of experience in DevOps and CICD practices. Education, training, or experience must include: scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Windows Powershell; container technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes; Public Cloud; building tools and version control, including SVN, Git, and Gitlab; data structures and algorithms; and, creating and managing development and build platforms and deployment strategies. Experience may be gained concurrently. Position based in Austin, TX; telecommuting permitted up to once per week.
