JOB DESCRIPTION
The QA Engineer will be responsible for developing, publishing, implementing, and executing test plans. Experience with automated tests is strongly preferred. Below is the high-level description:
⢠Develop, maintain, and upgrade automated test scripts and architectures for application reports.
⢠Write, implement, and report status for system test cases for testing.
⢠Analyze test cases and provide regular progress reports.
⢠Participate in the testing process through test review and analysis, test witnessing and verification of reports.
⢠Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within agile software testing.
⢠Works under limited supervision with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
⢠Responsible for documenting test case results (functional and performance
⢠Responsible for creating test data to properly test the reports being developed.
⢠Confirm the deployment of the reports to test environments.
⢠Possess strong oral and written communication skills.
⢠Work closely with a team of application developers, testers, and customers in an Agile setting.
⢠Participate in Agile events (sprint planning, task breakdown, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives).
The software tester will have access to a knowledgeable business analyst, developer, and subject matter expert for any report requirement clarifications.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
⢠At least 4 years of experience in testing reports and software
⢠At least 5 years of experience with SQL queries
⢠At least 3 years of experience with Oracle and SQL Server databases
⢠Prefer 2 years of experience with Java
⢠Prefer 1 year of experience with TeamForge
