Texas Auto Center is currently seeking a dependable, adaptable and professional individual to serve as our Automotive Parts Specialist.
Under the supervision of the Service Manager, this position is responsible for supporting the Service Department ensuring automotive repairs are completed in a timely manner and parts are ordered accurately.
Responsibilities:
Develops estimates by costing materials, supplies and labor; calculating customer’s payment, including deductibles.
Shops for the best parts at the best prices using our automated system
Uses our automated system to bill parts to repair orders
Maintains automotive records by recording problems and corrective actions planned.
Estimates and looks up the proper labor time for the repair being preformed.
Ability to use a code reader to see which code is present for check engine light being on
Ability to look up labor times correctly
Ability to become a State Inspector -employer paid
Ability to adapt to a face paces environment working with multiple tasks at one time
Ability to replace a vehicle battery
Required Skills & Expertise:
Valid Driver’s license and good driving record
Bi-lingual Spanish speaking preferred
Customer service or service assistance experience required
2-3 years Automotive/Parts experience preferred
Experience with Omnique Service Management program preferred (but not required)
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and remain upright on your feet for sustained periods of time
Ability to lift 40 pounds
Skilled with computers and computer software
Ability to learn Service Writer software
Ability to stand, sit and walk multiple times per day
Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
