Ready to grow in your maintenance career? We are searching for a Building Maintenance Tech to provide general building maintenance and repair services across multiple commercial properties. The role is ideal for someone with entry-level to moderate experience in building maintenance who enjoys variety in their work and the opportunity to learn and grow in the field. This position will travel between properties to assist with work orders, provide maintenance and repair services and help maintain clean, safe and professional building conditions.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs across assigned properties, including basic plumbing, electrical, painting, carpentry, etc.
Complete service requests and work orders in a timely and professional manner.
Conduct regular inspections of common areas, building systems, and equipment, reporting any deficiencies to the Lead Engineer.
Assist with vendor escorts, deliveries, and special projects as assigned.
Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
Provide excellent customer service to tenants, staff, and visitors.
Travel between multiple properties on a regular basis, responding to maintenance needs as scheduled or requested.
Support emergency response efforts as needed (e.g., floods, power outages, weather-related events).
QUALIFICATIONS:
1–3 years of experience in building maintenance, facilities, or a related trade preferred (willing to train motivated candidates with mechanical aptitude).
General knowledge of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting).
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as climbing ladders, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required (mileage reimbursement provided).
Availability for occasional after-hours emergency response.
Must be able to pass a background check, lift up to 50lbs and climb ladders.
