GC'ing a build in South Austin on the side. Need 1-2 people to assist with the build.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the construction of residential buildings.
Perform tasks including framing, installing windows, sheathing
Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Read and follow blueprints and building plans.
Measure and cut materials with precision.
Maintain a clean and organized job site.
Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures consistently.
Qualifications:
Basic understanding of construction principles and procedures.
Competency in basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Strong spatial awareness and ability to interpret blueprints and plans.
Effective problem-solving skills and capability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Physical stamina and strength for manual labor and lifting heavy objects.
Experience with hand and power tools.
Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Reliable, non smoker.
Must have reliable transportation.
A strong grasp of English.
Alcohol, tobacco, and drug free work environment.
Project likely to start early October.
