We’re seeking a skilled Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy-duty trucks and construction equipment like Peterbilt, Kenworth, Volvo, and Caterpillar machinery. This role requires expertise in both standard maintenance and complex repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, filter replacements, etc.).
Conduct DOT inspections and ensure equipment meets standards.
Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, and hydraulic system issues.
Rebuild or repair diesel engines, fuel systems, and cooling systems.
Repair hydraulic cylinders, pumps, control valves, and electrical systems.
Troubleshoot drivetrain components and perform welding/fabrication as needed.
Work on heavy-duty trucks and construction equipment (excavators, dozers, etc.).
Requirements:
5+ years of experience as a diesel/heavy equipment mechanic.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
ASE or OEM certifications preferred.
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and powertrains.
Must have own tools (shop tools and specialty equipment provided).
Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred).
Work Environment:
Shop and field work in varying weather conditions.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand, kneel, bend for extended periods.
Occasional travel required.
