Mechanic
Job Overview:
We are an auto body shop seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. As a Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety for our customers. This position involves working with a variety of tools and equipment to diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles in accordance with dealership standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform maintenance and repairs on vehicles, including but not limited to suspension systems, transmissions, brakes, and engines.
- Conduct inspections to identify issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Assemble, weld, fabricate, and transmit components as needed for repairs.
- Collaborate with the service team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when handling heavy lifting equipment such as cranes.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed.
Experience:
- Proven experience as a Service Technician or Mechanic in a Dealership setting.
- Proficiency in heavy lifting techniques and equipment operation.
- Ability to weld, fabricate, assemble, and transmit components effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with dealership service standards and procedures.
Requirements:
- Prior experience maintaining vehicles in a auto body shop environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely.
- Proficiency in welding, fabricating, assembling, and transmitting components.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
