Position Summary:

The In-House Carpenter (CNC Operator) and Installer is a skilled and experienced professional responsible for operating CNC machines to create custom substrates and logos for our preserved moss walls. This role requires precision, craftsmanship, and an eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, experience with CNC machining, and be willing to travel for installation projects across the USA.

Primary Responsibilities:

CNC Machine Operation:

Expertly operate CNC machines to cut various substrates, including wood, metal, and acrylic, for the creation of custom logos and designs used in our preserved moss walls.

Ensure precision and quality in all CNC operations, adhering to specific design specifications and tolerances.

Carpentry and Fabrication:

Utilize carpentry skills to construct, modify, and finish substrates and structural elements for moss installations.

Perform detailed and accurate work, ensuring the highest quality craftsmanship.

Installation:

Participate in the installation of moss walls and other biophilic elements at client sites across the USA.

Coordinate with the team to ensure installations are completed on time and to the client's satisfaction.

Travel as needed for installation projects, representing Austin Moss Creations professionally and courteously.

Maintenance and Equipment Care:

Maintain and care for all carpentry and CNC equipment, ensuring tools are in good working condition.

Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with machinery or equipment as they arise.

Experience and Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years experience in carpentry, with a proven track record in CNC machine operation.

Demonstrated experience in installation work, preferably in a similar or related field.

Skills and Abilities:

+ Expert knowledge of CNC machine operation, including software and hardware components.

+ Strong carpentry skills, including cutting, shaping, and finishing materials.

+ Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and design specifications.

+ Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

+ Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.

+ Willingness to travel for installations, with flexibility in scheduling.
