The ideal candidate can:
Replace ductwork and blowing loose fill insulation in attics of homes
Perform leakage tests on HVAC ductwork
Seal, repair and replace HVAC ductwork
Fabricate and repair duct board plenums
Blowing insulation
Demo/insulation removal
Weatherstripping doors
Installing health and safety equipment
Maintaining and keeping work vehicles organized
Sheet rock repair
Other general home performance duties
General home performance/weatherization experience including HVAC ductwork and insulation is preferred, but on the job training will be provided. Experience working with City programs is a plus. Applicants should be able to work outdoors, in attics, and on ladders. Creativity in solving building construction defects is key to success in all our work. Applicants must be self-motivated, able to work in a team, and complete work without direct supervision. Proficiency in Spanish and experience driving a truck and trailer is preferred. Candidates need a valid driver's license.
