Description
We are currently hiring a Licensed Diesel Mechanic for on-site work. Qualified candidates should have 5+ years of experience in heavy machinery mechanics. The role involves working on heavy construction machinery, with a variable schedule to meet the company’s needs.
Responsibilities
As a Diesel Mechanic, you will inspect heavy equipment such as trucks, cranes, and bulldozers to ensure proper performance and identify faults and malfunctions. You will use computerized testing equipment to diagnose problems and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
You will be responsible for replacing faulty parts, adjusting equipment, and making necessary repairs to malfunctioning machinery. Performing routine maintenance tasks, such as cleaning and lubricating equipment, will also be part of your duties.
Testing repaired equipment to ensure it meets manufacturer specifications and performs properly is crucial. You will keep detailed records of serviced machines and report progress and issues to management.
Skills
Licensed diesel mechanic with experience in heavy machinery.
ASE Certification Preferred
Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical problems using computerized testing equipment.
Experience in inspecting, maintaining, and repairing heavy construction machinery.
Background check, drug screen, and driving record check required.
