Schumann Granite is currently looking for an experienced Stone Countertop Installer responsible for installing countertops in kitchens, bathrooms, fireplaces and more.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Countertop installation/repair process knowledge.
Can read a tape measure to the 16th inch.
Ability to lift heavy objects.
Ability to carefully load/transport countertops in a truck to ensure they remain free of any damage.
Ability to understand the needs/direction of the client, and ensure customer satisfaction.
Understand the importance of time management to ensure that all clients needs are met within the given project timeframe.
Other duties as assigned by project manager.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
High standards of excellence
Can read a detailed shop sheet/ticket with measurement specifications to check dimensions, drawings, form, fit and function of countertops
Ability to remain focused on the task at hand and meet deadlines to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled to exact specifications
Must be able to exhibit great attention to detail, and communicate with fellow employees and customers in a professional manner
Having a thorough understanding of safe in-field operations
Ability to learn how to operate the necessary machinery and hand tools needed to complete customer installations
Capacity to work in a team environment in order to creatively/safely solve problems as they arise
Excellent communication skills with clients
Minimum Qualifications:
Have a valid driver's license to ensure safe transportation of materials
Minimum of 3 years of countertop installation or production experience
Must be able to lift material over 50lbs
