Are you passionate about bikes and looking for a flexible, hands-on role with a local brand that’s redefining electric mobility?
We’re a local electric bike company based in West Oak Hill looking for a Part-Time E-Bike Mechanic to help with bike assembly, repairs, light fulfillment, and general shop support.
This is a great opportunity for someone who loves working with their hands and wants to earn supplemental income doing what they enjoy.
This is a self-managed role — you’ll be given tasks and expected to complete them independently. It’s not a social job, as you’ll mostly be working solo.
That said, you’ll also need to be comfortable working on a computer, checking in with the team via Zoom meetings, Slack, and Asana, and occasionally helping with customer support via email or phone.
We’re looking for someone who’s responsible, tech-comfortable, and proactive.
Responsibilities:
Assemble and tune fat tire electric bikes (tools and training provided— if you have your own tools, that’s a plus)
Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs or upgrades
Package and prep bikes and parts for fulfillment
Work independently through task lists using tools like Asana
Clickup
Join team check-ins via Zoom as needed
Support the team with basic customer service emails or phone calls
Use Slack to stay in touch and collaborate
Keep work area organized and safe
Requirements:
Previous experience with bikes or e-bikes is a plus, but we’re open to fast learners
Mechanically inclined with a strong attention to detail
Able to lift bikes (around 70 lbs)
Comfortable using computers and learning new tools (Slack, Asana, email, Zoom)
Dependable, honest, and enthusiastic about e-mobility and sustainability
Live in or near the West Oak Hill area (we are a local-based operation)
Hours & Pay:
Part-time: 10–20 hours per week (flexible scheduling)
$15–$25/hr depending on experience
Ideal for bike mechanics, tinkerers, or students looking for extra income
Perks:
Discounted e-bike after 3 months
Be part of a mission-driven company under new ownership
Help people across the U.S. keep their bikes rolling
Positive, low-drama, high-integrity work culture
If you love bikes, enjoy hands-on work, and are comfortable balancing light mechanical work with some digital organization and team collaboration, we’d love to hear from you.
