A well-known commercial company in Austin, Texas is seeking a Q/A Q/C Piping Inspector.
Responsibilities:
Monitor and verify fit-up, welding, flange torque, and material traceability
Inspect piping installations (carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, etc.) for compliance with drawings, codes, and specifications
Review and verify welding procedures
Ensure proper documentation of inspection reports, punch lists, redlines, and quality records
Perform visual inspections of welds and support third-party activities
Verify that all piping materials and components conform to approved specifications and submittals
Work closely with construction teams to resolve quality issues and support rework prevention
Participate in pre-installation meetings and ensure readiness for inspections and testing
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience as a piping inspector or in a similar QA/QC role within construction
Familiarity with NDE methods and procedures
Strong documentation, reporting, and communication skills
Ability to read piping isometric drawings, P&IDs, and weld maps
Proficient with Microsoft Office and quality management systems (QMS)
