Seeking 'Jack-of-all-trades' HANDYMAN PROFESSIONAL

Austin Real Estate Maintenance, LLC is seeking a qualified 'jack-of-all-trades' HANDYMAN PROFESSIONAL. We are locally owned & operated serving the central Texas for over 30 years providing commercial maintenance, repair and remodeling services to local and national facility maintenance companies and investment property owners.

WHAT WE PROVIDE:

Full & part-time positions available

Year-around work

95% of the work is indoors

Weekly pay

Paid medical insurance after 90 days

Office support for jobs, scheduling, sourcing materials and building quotes

Assistant techs available to assist on jobs requiring 2 or more techs

Mobile App for organizing jobs, completion photos, completion notes, documents & receipts

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

General ‘handyman’ knowledge & experience in a variety of repair and maintenance skill sets including carpentry, masonry, flooring, painting, drywall repair, light plumbing (non-licensed), light electrical (non-licensed), some mechanical. We are looking for someone who can work independently, efficiently and can get the job done right the first time. Experience in remodeling is helpful. Ability to assess jobs & build quotes for materials & labor is an essential part of this position with in-house support available.

OTHER HELPFUL QUALIFICATIONS:

MUST have reliable transportation (truck or van), clean driving record and able to follow driving directions

MUST have own hand & smaller power tools (larger tools & equipment provided at our shop)

Perform work independently, be dependable, punctual with good work ethics

Be organized & able to maintain job records/receipts (we provide mobile app software to assist with this)

Pass pre-employment drug screening & comply with No Tolerance Drug Policy.

Have good customer communication & relationship skills

Speak fluent English

Must be legally able to work is the U.S

While we realize that not everyone will have experience in all the following areas, experience in many of these will be helpful along with a willingness to learn the others:

Painting - Interior and Exterior

Minor Plumbing and Electrical Installation/Repair - Licenses NOT required. Examples: Light fixture, ballast, electrical outlet & switch replacement, Doorbell Repair. Faucet, toilet, supply line & drainpipe replacement.

Light Framing

Ceiling Tile Installation and Ceiling Grid Repair

Sheetrock Installation, Repair and Texture

Door and Window installation/repair

Repair/Replace Rotten Wood/Siding

Install/Repair Cabinets, Cabinet Doors, Drawers & Hinges

Assemble & Repair Store Displays

Install/Repair Flagstone, Stone, Rock, Brick

Install/Repair Laminate

Install/Repair Flooring – Concrete, Wood, Carpet Tile, Ceramic & VCT Tile, Transition Strips

Build/Repair Fence, Fence Gates and Decks

Door Repair – Closers, Weatherstripping, Latch, Push bar & Lock repair

Car Strike & Break-in Board-ups

- There are many others which keep this job interesting with something different every day.

- Primary service area is from Georgetown North to San Marcos South. Lakeway & Marble Falls West to Bastrop East. - Rare instances to New Braunfels or Temple/Killeen

- This position is primarily day work M-F but some after-hours & overnight work may be necessary at times as customer jobs demand service outside of business hours. After-hours & overnight work pays time & a half overtime rate.
