JOB DETAILS:
The ideal Sr. Project Manager candidate has global experience in multiple aspects of the electrical construction industry, including commercial, medical, tenant improvement, industrial, government, and critical power projects. This individual will oversee all Special Projects Group jobs, either by directly leading project management efforts or by delegating to team members. Ultimately, they will be responsible for all financial reporting, tracking, and projecting labor, material, job expenses, and changes for each project. The successful candidate will oversee monthly financial projections and manage the creation of job-specific schedules of values to maintain positive cash flow. They will also create, submit, and manage all submittals throughout the entire project. This position requires strong organizational, negotiation, financial, and communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITES (Direct):
Lead project management staff in day-to-day administration and project management.
Oversee all project financials, including tracking and projecting labor, material, job expenses, and changes.
Assist project teams with miscellaneous issues to maintain high-level customer service (e.g., material, information, special items, constructability).
Support the General Superintendent in production tracking and analysis.
Foster effective partnerships with jobsite Foremen and Technicians.
Create a positive teamwork environment for all project-associated employees, including General Contractors, Owners, Architects, Engineers, Subcontractors, and Vendors.
Mentor and train up-and-coming project managers, assisting them in achieving their career goals within the firm.
Prioritize the company's best interests financially and diplomatically, maximizing profits while protecting those interests.
Maintain a positive attitude and composure, even in challenging situations.
Organize job-specific meetings, ensuring accountability for hours/costs and timely closure of all discussed items.
Create buyout schedules to ensure timely material procurement and delivery based on GC scheduling.
Assist in developing constructability plans, shutdown planning, and prefab plans to ensure smooth project execution.
Manage all project-related meetings throughout the job's duration (e.g., Hand-off, Kick-off, Layout review, L10, 50%, and closeout meetings).
Review estimates and proposals to ensure projects are priced per contract documents, maximizing margins as the market allows.
Generate margin through increased efficiencies, strategic buyout, and hours/cost accountability.
Maintain AR levels at or below company standards.
Exemplify servant leadership by supporting the group and leading by example.
Ensure consistent adherence to all Company and client safety requirements and practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES (Direct/Indirect):
Manage Company schedules, ensuring projects stay on track and notifying GCs of scheduling deficiencies.
Take responsibility for all aspects of job completion, including following up on tasks and assisting when necessary.
Create and maintain complete project budgets using layout drawings.
Prepare monthly financial projections for each project.
Develop project-specific schedules of values to maintain positive cash flow.
Process monthly progress billing for assigned projects.
Manage all submittals throughout the entire project lifecycle.
Maintain submittal, drawing, correspondence, and change logs.
Submit, review for added costs, file, and log all RFIs.
Price, budget, track, sell, and collect all proposed changes.
Purchase all materials according to Company SOP.
Manage material buyouts, ensuring timeliness and negotiation to maximize contingency dollars.
Schedule and track material releases, coordinating with Superintendents as needed.
Monitor major deliveries to jobsites.
Set up cost codes and production tracking, communicating with Superintendents and Foremen.
Maintain and organize information for Foreman access through CMiC.
Update plans with RFIs, Addendums, ASIs, CPRs, and pertinent email conversations.
Conduct weekly jobsite visits and attend all required jobsite meetings.
Prepare all necessary outgoing correspondence.
Organize and submit job closeout documentation (e.g., As-builts, O&Ms).
Demonstrate estimating, pre-construction, and design-build experience.
Assemble and manage efficient project staff for multiple projects, including Project Managers, Project Engineers, CAD/BIM specialists, and Administrative Assistants.
Meet and exceed all Company requirements for the Project Manager position.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 15 years of experience in a Project Manager role
Proven skills in people management, process management, and performance management
Knowledge of financial software, accounting practices, change order pricing, and billings
Excellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize work
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in budget tracking, labor tracking, and scheduling
Skill in information analysis and budget setup
Strong scheduling skills and strategic vision
