Math and English Instructors
Responsibilities and Duties:
Working with students grades Pre-K to 9th in small groups (3-6 students)
Adhere to established teaching curriculum (curriculum will be provide along with teach materials, so minimal planning required)
Monitor student progress and performance
Document and share student progress and performance
Ability to build rapport with students and motivate all kids positively
Maintain positive relationships with students, parents, and center staff
Other responsibilities as assigned by the center director
Qualifications and Skills:
Teaching experience preferred, but will consider other related experience
Willing to be trained to handle both in-center and virtual classes
Experience working with children
College graduate or currently studying
Well organized with the ability to multitask
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
On time/punctual
Residing near the 78750 Austin zip code is strongly preferred
Work authorization in the U.S.
Hours:
Summer academic camp 9am-1pm M-F
The program continues during the school year from 3-7 pm M-Th, so it is not just a summer job, you can continue to work throughout the year. There are also opportunities for more hours doing administrative work - hours vary. (Pay differs for admin work.)
Pay: $18-23/hr
