Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Field Assistant based in Houston, TX,
who is willing to travel to project sites in Beaumont, San Antonio, and Austin. Prior
construction experience is required, strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the
ability to stay on top of projects are essential. This role is ideal for someone who
thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly organized, and is comfortable using
various software tools for tracking and reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
● Site Visits, inspections & repairs: Regularly visit project sites to monitor
contractor progress, ensuring work aligns with project timelines and standards.
Also some sites requires construction work and repairs.
● Issue Identification & Reporting: Identify potential issues or delays and report
findings.
● Progress Documentation: Maintain detailed records using Google Sheets and
other online software, including written reports and photo documentation.
● Contractor Coordination: Communicate with contractors and project managers
to ensure smooth workflow and address any concerns.
● Tech-Driven Oversight: Utilize software tools to track project updates, report
findings, and streamline communication with the team.
● On-Site Problem-Solving: Ensure tasks are completed correctly, escalate
issues when necessary, and assist in maintaining project efficiency.
Qualifications:
● Prior construction experience required, but must be highly organized and detail-oriented.
● Able to work Excel / Google Sheets
Ability to learn and use different software tools for documentation, reporting, and
coordination.
● Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
● Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to project sites across
Beaumont, San Antonio, and Austin.
● Must be proactive, a fast learner, and able to take initiative without constant
Requirements:
● Must be based in Houston, TX and able to travel for projects.
● Availability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends if needed.
● Ability to lift and handle materials up to 50 lbs.
● A valid driver’s license.
● Comfortable working in construction environments and managing multiple tasks
efficiently.
