Description
Robert Half is seeking an Incident Responder, SOC Analyst to join our client in Southwest part of Houston for a hybrid remote opportunity. 95% of the time will be spent onsite in our client's Security operations center.
Plan, direct and control the SOC functions and operation. Leading and managing the Security Operations and team of security operational staff members per defined SLA. Being available through on-call and rotating schedule as per business need.
Ensure the monitoring and analysis of incidents to protect People, Technology and Process addressing all security incidents and ensuring timely escalation.
Direct the Cyber Intelligence capability to identify potential threats delivering strategic reports and strategies to minimize the impact of the threat.
Primarily responsible for directing security event monitoring, management and response and cyber intelligence
Review threat intelligence reports and enhance correlation use cases for organization based on industry best practices. Develop use cases for security monitoring. Ensuring threat management, threat modelling, identify threat vectors and develop use cases for security monitoring
Ensuring incident identification, assessment, quantification, reporting, communication, mitigation and monitoring
Ensuring compliance to policy, process, and procedure adherence and process improvisation to achieve operational objectives
Develop processes to strengthen the Security Operations Framework, review policies and highlight the challenges in managing SLAs
Create SOC related processes, manages vulnerabilities within SLA, data loss prevention program (DLP), pen tests, assess incident reports, and develop and implement crisis communication plans
Perform monthly validation of systems which have not been integrated with SIEM
Responsible for overall use of resources and initiation of corrective action where required for the Security Operations Center
Ensuring daily management, best-practices per devices, administration & maintenance of security devices to achieve operational effectiveness
Creation of reports, dashboards, metrics for SOC operations and presentation to senior management.
Ensure compliance to SLA, adherence to the defined process and process improvisation to achieve operational objectives
Identify new devices to be onboarded to SIEM console to expand sources of event collection
Assist during audit process, provide support required for compliance and forensic investigation
Participate in periodic business review meeting with stakeholders (such as key client managers, department heads etc.) to understand and discuss areas of service improvement from a security support standpoint
Coordination with stakeholders, build and maintain positive and professional working relationships with them
