Field Canvasser/ Part Time Brownsville Port Elections Location: Brownsville, Texas

Texas Campaign for the Environment is seeking qualified individuals to serve as paid canvassers for the upcoming May 4 Brownsville Port Elections campaign. This is a fast-paced, team oriented position focused on reaching voters in the community.
Responsibilities:
● Mobilize voters to participate in elections
● Knock on doors in the community and talk to voters
● Motivate people to support pro-environment candidates
● Other campaign-related tasks, as needed
Qualifications:
● Strong persuasive communication skills and the ability to work well with a team
● Positive attitude
● Must be 18 years of age
● Ability to work weekends
● Detail-oriented and comfortable to work in a fast- paced environment
● Comfortable with smartphone applications
● Prior organizing experience preferred but not required (paid, volunteer, or
internship)
● A background in MiniVan is preferred but not required
● Access to a reliable vehicle. (Preferred but not required)
● Bilingual English and Spanish a plus

Expected hours: 30-36 per week
