Is Currently seeking to fill a vacancy in the following area:
Access Control - Part-Time
Candidate will be responsible for the overall security of the facility, maintain vigilance over Company employees, property, and interests to ensure employee and plant safety/ security; responsible for immediately contacting appropriate personnel and/or legal entities/ jurisdiction(s) to ensure facility and employee protection.
Essential Functions:
Supervises and oversees entering/exiting of all employees during assigned shift; logs in staff/employees visiting or reentering the plant after working hours;
Maintains records of Company vehicles leaving the premises and documents their return to the facility;
Must report and log any unusual or suspicious activities that have the probability of causing injury or harm to the employees or to the facility;
Reports any safety related issues, i.e., malfunctioning light, open door, suspicious visitors;
Must be able to approach and question employees and/or non-employees to determine the reason for their presence, their safety and security, the safety and security of others and to the facility;
May be asked to participate in employee investigations in which theft or misappropriation of employee, company property or contractor equipment has occurred;
Must call emergency personnel or other emergency agencies in the event of an emergency, assault, fire, strong wind damage, etc;
Report unsafe driving conditions and enforce "No Parking", "Visitor Parking" and "Handicap Parking" areas;
Comply with all applicable EHS and Safety rules and regulations; must wear appropriate PPE when required;
Performs other job related duties as assigned;
Position Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent is required, 1-2 years as a security guard highly desirable; ability to work different shifts; must be able to communicate effectively with internal and external customers; must have good documentation skills and may require to read, write, and communicate effectively in English/ Spanish.
