Description A client of ours is looking for a Collections Specialist to join their team, operating remotely for a 6+ month contract. Although the role is remote, the hiring manager will only consider candidates local to the Houston area. This role is part of the financial industry and focuses on managing past due accounts and service agreement invoices. The position is a long-term contract opportunity and will require the use of QuickBooks. Please apply today for immediate consideration!Responsibilities: Contact customers with past due invoices or accounts, using both email and phone communication methods Negotiate payment arrangements with customers to ensure timely payment Handle disputes related to customer accounts and payments Analyze aging reports for customer accounts to identify trends or payment issues Set up payment plans for customers, ensuring they align with company policies Use QuickBooks to manage and update customer account information Use CRM and other software systems like Accurint and ADP - Financial Services for account management and customer service tasks Respond to customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action for accounts at risk Manage accounts receivable, including service agreements and project invoices.Requirements Possesses at least 3 years of experience as a Collections Specialist or in a related role. Proficiency in QuickBooks is a requirement Must be comfortable Answering Inbound Calls and performing Billing Functions. Strong interpersonal skills are required to engage effectively with various stakeholders. Candidates should demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Must have strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. High level of integrity and discretion in handling sensitive information is required.
