I have an online business that primarily sells professional / commercial equipment to businesses (audio, video, networking, etc). I've owned it for over 15 years, mainly running it myself, but the business has grown since I started it, so I could use more help with it. I am sure I could use someone full-time instead of just part-time, since the business is successful, but since the vast majority of things that need to be done require me to at least be involved, I believe finding someone part-time would be best for now. I do have someone that currently works part-time, but he has gotten busier and busier over time with his full time job and his family, to where he is rarely able to come and work anymore, and I definitely need more help then that.
So I am looking for someone that would be able to take some of the work off my hands. It may help if it were a college student, or someone a little younger in age, but I am open to anyone. I say that it may help if in college or younger because having a more flexible schedule would be ideal, and part of the job will consist of moving various equipment around, and some may be heavier items.although I do have forklifts and pallet jacks to move heavier stuff. Other then moving equipment / inventory around, the type of work varies quite a bit.some will be packaging items, since everything is done online, and everything that sells gets shipped, or it may be testing or cleaning equipment, or doing things on the computer / website. Basically just helping me do whatever needs to be done that day.
I am very flexible on schedule, and could use help for anywhere between 10-30 hours a week, which may depend on how busy myself / the business is that particular week (most weeks are normal, but every now and then, a lot of orders come in, or there may be a small number to come in). Although, since I run the business, and set my own schedule, I typically do not start doing any work until after noon. Pay is negotiable. I currently pay the person that helps me $20/hr, but he has helped me for years, so I planned to start someone at $15 an hour, and after a short time, once he or she has more experience, can raise it to $20 an hour. I also prefer to pay once a week, or every other week, in cash, or check, since it is just part-time work. There is also an opportunity for the right person to basically run my business here, while I move to another location, and start / run the same business there.and that would be a $100k / yr full time position, but again, it would be for the right person and would be down the road.
