As an Associate Director in IT, you will be directly responsible for ServiceNow discovery, as part of the IT Asset Management team, playing a critical role in the modernization of how we ensure assets and/or configuration items are managed and the relationships between them. This role provides a unique growth opportunity to use your experience, communication, and problem-solving skills to maintain an accurate and reliable CMDB.

You will be primarily responsible for the delivery and support of ServiceNow discovery data integration into the CMDB. You will lead our existing discovery integration by maintaining and enhancing, as well as configuration of new, patterns and data sources for our hybrid environment. The Associate Director also works collaboratively across business and technology services to drive discovery remediations and/or troubleshooting efforts. The candidate must have strong communication skills with the ability to articulate problems, solutions and actions through concise and clear messaging and have demonstrated the ability to assess complex issues and structure potential solutions to drive resolution with senior stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Lead the delivery of ServiceNow discovery data integration into the CMDB
  • Support, enhance, and maintain existing out of box and custom patterns to discover on premise and cloud infrastructure
  • Develop and implement new discovery patterns
  • Lead efforts related to consuming additional data sources into the CMDB
  • Work collaboratively across business and technology services to evolve and mature CMDB
  • Drive discovery remediations and/or troubleshooting efforts either on request or proactively
  • Provide visibility to performance and issues related to discovery
  • Communicate changes to discovery that will impact the SACM data or processes
  • Stay current on ServiceNow products and applicable ServiceNow discovery and integration technologies related to the CMDB, CSDM, Configuration Management, and SACM

Talents Needed for Success:
  • Proven track record of maintaining and enhancing existing ServiceNow discovery
  • Experience with initial deployment(s) of ServiceNow discovery
  • Experience with discovery in a hybrid environment
  • SME-level understanding of ServiceNow CMDB hierarchy
  • Familiarity with Common Service Data Model (CSDM)
  • Familiarity with Service Mapping is a plus
  • Knowledge of the Agile methodology
  • Knowledge of scripting languages including PowerShell or Bash
  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience, IT delivery and/or support
  • Strong communication skills and ability to meet with clients, present to senior management, and provide updates to regulators / supervisors
  • Ability to work across teams to create partnerships that achieve organization goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture
  • ITIL certified (Foundation v3 or v4)
  • ServiceNow Discovery certification
  • Service Mapping certification is a plus
  • AWS certification is a plus
