Key Responsibilities:

  • Show initiative and motivation to solve problems, adapt to changes, and follow through on tasks
  • Responsible for design, code development, implementation, and support of technical solutions for various customer facing online platforms.
  • Work in Agile teams following Agile methodologies to deliver high quality products on time with performance and localization requirements in mind.
  • Create microservices, integrate third party libraries, and conduct technical research regarding different ways to improve our development environment and best practices
  • Develop applications utilizing Cloud technologies (SaaS, PaaS) that support high availability, high scalability, and parallel processing
  • Build, test and deliver high quality, complex frameworks and systems and diagnose and resolve complex issues
  • Use the latest development tools and follow industry and Wolters Kluwer technical standards
  • Understand the use of technology and how its implementation affects strategic business goals
  • Evaluate new development tools and drive their implementation within our development teams
  • Mentor less-experienced staff by providing daily guidance and direction
Key Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
  • 5+ years of programming experience with the .NET Framework, .NET Core, WCF, REST, and C#
  • Proficient in object-oriented design and development using best practices and patterns
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL database design, T-SQL, and stored procedure programming
  • Working knowledge of Azure services (e.g. Azure Data Factory, Worker Roles, Web jobs, Service Bus, Table Storage, Blob Storage) and Azure Service Fabric
  • Experience with message brokers like RabbitMQ
  • Experience with quality up-front initiatives such as TDD, CI, and automated unit test frameworks
  • Experience adhering to secure coding practices (OWASP)
  • Successful track record delivering high quality code on time while working in Agile Teams and following Agile methodologies
  • Expertise designing, coding, and implementing architectures and applications that have 24/7 stability, performance, scalability, and localization requirements in mind
  • Experience with error handling, asynchronous processing, queue driven processing, event processing, multi-threading
  • Experience with architecture/design patterns and re-usability concepts and database design
  • Experience with API first design approach and familiar with OpenAPI, Swagger specification is a plus
  • Multi-tiered application environments with SQL, Web services, HTML5, Angular, and XML development preferred
  • Developing and deploying microservices and/or Service Oriented Architecture preferred
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience with Azure DevOps
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps pipelines
  • Experience with developing and supporting customer facing applications
  • Experience implementing designs and providing feedback in the development process
  • Experience evaluating and improving the interactions and processes with an Agile Development team
