Provide direct and individualized nursing care to an assigned group of individuals in accordance with current standards of nursing care. Responsible for the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the nursing care plans and nursing care as written in the Individuals Program Plans. Responsible for the continued evaluation of the medical/nursing care program and to review all medical and health related records. Participate in team conferences, sharing knowledge, information, and ideas among team members. Participates in emergency care and communicates frequently with the appropriate persons regarding individuals physical and mental conditions. Must possess or have the ability to acquire through staff training a good working knowledge of procedures pertaining to consumer rights, abuse, neglect and exploitation. Degree from an accredited school of nursing one year of experience working with individual's with developmental disabilities or in a related field preferred.
