Ranch Hand — Horses, Livestock, Grounds & Maintenance
Schedule: 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, daily (40 hrs/wk + occasional OT)
Location: Flour Bluff / Corpus Christi, TX
About the role
We’re a busy ranch & animal facility. You’ll handle daily horse/livestock care, keep the grounds sharp, and tackle light maintenance so lessons, parties, and events run safely and on time.
What you’ll do
Animal Care
Feed/water horses & mixed livestock; refresh hay, minerals, and clean troughs
Muck stalls/paddocks; clean pens/trailers
Grounds & Facilities
Mow, weed-eat, blow, rake, arena drag, clear trails
Fence & gate repairs, stall fixes, minor plumbing/irrigation, basic electrical (swap outlets/lamps), painting
Maintain barns, wash racks, tack rooms, feed rooms neat & organized
Equipment
Operate/maintain mower, weed eater, chainsaw, power tools
Hook/unhook and back trailers
Must-haves
Hors and Live Stock Experience
Reliable: on time 7 AM daily, follows checklists, communicates
Can lift 50–75 lbs, work outdoors (heat, wind, light rain), be on feet most of the day

Pay & perks
$12.50/hour DOE, paid twice a month
All tools/equipment provided; (boots & gloves by employee)
Schedule
7:00 AM – 4:00 PM daily with 1-hr lunch (or two 30-min breaks). Weekend/holiday rotation as needed for animal care
How we measure success
AM/PM feed & water done on time, stalls/paddocks clean, arenas dragged per schedule
Grounds look show-ready; work orders closed quickly
Animals handled safely; zero preventable incidents; clear communication with managers
