QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have a valid driver license for the applicable State and an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Driving record (property specific-driving).
Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately.
Must work well in stressful high pressure situations.
Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs diversified maintenance duties which require work skills such as painting, insulating, scaffold building/inspecting, and general mechanic tasks
Mow and run edger as well as know how to pull and cut shrubs, as well as plant new plants.
Requires the knowledge of basic process equipment, how to operate a forklift safely and how to safely remove bolts and flanges
Organize and lead filter bundle changes (lift coordination, forklift transfer of leaves to the stand, rigging and removal of filter bundle from elevated surfaces to ground)
Work with contractors on scaffolding jobs to build scaffolds, ensure they are safe and sign off on the use of scaffolding in the plant Chemical Plant/Manufacturing environment
Paint curbs, doors, safety signs and restricted area markings to ensure safe operations of the plant
Develop takeoffs for insulation jobs, remove insulation safely, build temporary insulation blankets, store insulation materials and coordinate insulation contractors for material purchases
They will help with conducting cycle counts of equipment that is in shop.
Work on elevated equipment with a safety harness
Build fence and other projects onsite.
Typical daily assignments are physically demanding, requiring balancing, standing, cleaning, reaching, visual discernment, crawling, climbing, twisting, turning, squatting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, full respiratory function and lifting.
