Position Summary:
We are seeking a highly responsible and safety-driven Hazmat Owner Operator to transport hazardous materials in compliance with federal, state, and company regulations. The ideal candidate is an independent contractor who owns and operates their own truck, maintains exceptional safety standards, and delivers freight on time while ensuring full regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
Valid CDL Class A with Hazmat and Tanker.
Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience, including hazmat transport.
Clean MVR and safe driving history.
Knowledge of DOT hazmat regulations and proper handling procedures.
Ability to lift, climb, and perform tasks related to equipment handling.
Strong communication, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
Minimum age - 25 years old
Key Responsibilities:
Safely transport hazardous materials in accordance with DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulations.
Ensure all required hazmat documentation, including shipping papers and placards, is accurate and maintained.
Inspect vehicle and equipment before and after each trip; report and resolve any mechanical issues.
Maintain compliance with all FMCSA requirements, including hours-of-service regulations.
Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other stakeholders regarding delivery schedules and service updates.
Handle loading and unloading procedures in a safe and compliant manner.
Maintain a clean driving record and uphold high safety standards at all times.
Manage fuel, maintenance, and operational expenses associated with owning and operating the vehicle.
