Their long list ofaccreditation'sincluding The Joint Commission as well asMBSAQIPprove them to be a well trusted hospital in Texas.Surgical Techwill join an organization with a long history of community service and excellent patient outcomes.Reporting directly up to the Surgeon of the department the Technician will work alongside an anesthesiologistand circulating nurse to work under supervision unless prohibited by state law or hospital policy. Assistingwith sterilizing drapes and dressing a patient while sterilizing the surgical room is a very important responsibility for this position and previous experience is mandatory for consideration.
Surgical tech carries many other responsibilitiesin the OR including passing instruments to the Surgeon when needing during a procedure, providing solutions and medications, passing along tissue samples, and much more. Hands on experience working side by side with a highly trained surgeon within an acute care facility is extremely important as you will be handling important aspects of each and every surgical procedure including taking place ofcirculatorwhen they are not present. In this case, the Surgical Tech will transport patients to the OR and help position patient on the operating table to prepare for surgery.
