Description At Robert Half, there's a terrific opportunity in the Energy/Natural Resources industry for an experienced Accounts Receivable (A/R) professional to join a dynamic, up-and-coming organization. In this position, you will enter, post and reconcile batches, research and resolve customer A/R issues, prepare aging report, place billing and collection calls, maintain cash receipts journal, update, and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L. This is a long-term contract / temporary to hire Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Cypress, Texas area.Major responsibilities

Execute a range of foundational accounting tasks in agreement with normal procedures, including general accounting tasks

Promote, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization

Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in various ledgers

Process payments and compile segments of annual reports and monthly closings in compliance with GAAP

Verify documents and codes

Assist in setting up payment plans; contact clients to help resolve payment issues

Review status of delinquent accounts daily and initiate collection action by contacting customers

Provide information, as requested to the sales/marketing department, shippers, customers, and other stakeholders Requirements - AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field preferred

1+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable

ERP system experience

Experience with B2B collections

Knowledge of Accounts Receivable (AR)

Strong familiarity with QuickBooks

B2B collections experience preferred

Solid understanding of Posting Payments

Dependability in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills in particular

Demonstrated analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy

Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
