We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant & Cost Engineer to support both our finance and operations teams. This hybrid role provides exposure to general accounting and cost analysis, making it ideal for a candidate who enjoys working with numbers, analyzing data, and contributing to financial decision-making. You will help ensure accurate books, monitor costs, and provide insights that support efficiency and profitability across the organization.
Accounting Duties
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processing.
Record journal entries and maintain accurate general ledger accounts and cash flow reports.
Process and reconcile invoices.
Support month-end and year-end closing activities.
Ensures on-time payments to vendors.
Maintain Cash Flow report
Assist with financial reports and ensure compliance with company policies.
Cost Engineering & Analysis Duties
Track actual costs against budgets and forecasts, highlighting variances.
Analyze operating expenses, product margins, and cost-saving opportunities.
Leads cost optimization projects
Maintain cost databases, spreadsheets, and records for ongoing projects.
Collaborate with operations, procurement, and project teams to gather cost data.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering, or related field, or proven experience records.
0–3 years of experience in accounting, cost analysis, or related fields (internships considered).
Basic knowledge of accounting principles and cost control methods.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite; and QuicBooks or other related softwares
Strong analytical, numerical, and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a team environment.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
