Swedish Massage Instructor

Location: Ke Kino Massage Clinic and School

Ke Kino, a prestigious massage therapy school with 20 years of excellence, is seeking a

seasoned Swedish Massage Instructor who does more than just teach techniques — we are

looking for someone who can guide, inspire, and mentor future massage therapists. The ideal

candidate brings not only expertise in Swedish massage but also the ability to create a

supportive, professional, and engaging learning environment.

What We’re Looking For

Professional Knowledge & Skills

Strong foundation in massage theory and techniques — able to demonstrate and clearly

explain effleurage, petrissage, friction, tapotement, and vibration.

Applied anatomy & physiology expertise — explaining not just the how but the why

behind techniques.

Adaptability in teaching — tailoring lessons for different learning styles (visual,

kinesthetic, verbal).

Teaching & Communication

Clear communicator who breaks down complex concepts into simple, practical steps.

Patient, approachable, and encouraging of questions.

Skilled at giving constructive feedback in a supportive way.

Professional role model, demonstrating ethical standards, proper draping, and

boundaries.

Personal & Professional Presence

Compassionate and empathetic toward students learning hands-on work.

Inspiring mentor who instills confidence and passion for massage.

Observant and attentive to student struggles with technique or body mechanics.

Calm and grounded demeanor that reflects the energy expected in massage practice.

Practical & Career Guidance

Emphasizes self-care, ergonomics, and longevity in the profession.

Connects classroom learning to real-world practice, client care, and professionalism.

Encourages lifelong learning beyond Swedish massage.

Responsibilities

Teach Ke Kino’s Swedish Massage curriculum across assigned programs.

Provide clear instruction, mentorship, and hands-on guidance to students.

Collaborate with fellow instructors to ensure consistency and quality of training.

Uphold Ke Kino’s educational standards and values in the classroom.

Schedule

Morning Program

3 mornings per week (8:30am – 12:30pm), typically Tuesday–Thursday (some

flexibility available).

Runs approximately 2 months.

3–4 programs offered annually.

Evening Program

2 evenings per week (6:00pm – 10:00pm), Mondays and Wednesdays.

Runs approximately 3 1⁄2 months.

Offered about once every 9–10 months.

Qualifications

Licensed Massage Therapy Instructor with a minimum of 2 years teaching experience.

Licensed massage therapist in good standing.

Strong communication, organizational, and mentoring skills.

Team-oriented and open to learning Ke Kino’s sequence of Swedish Massage.

Why Join Ke Kino?
