Smartrise Engineering is looking for an Engineering Manager will have the ability to inspire the engineering team, be a leader that the team can emulate, and identify solutions to important issues. We arent looking for someone to just manage the existing engineering team. Rather, we need an outgoing leader who can take the reins and build a quality engineering department in our Irving, TX location.

Key Deliverables Include:
Develop plans and strategies for developing growth and achieving the companys engineering goals.
Analyze problems and issues as they arise with the product, or engineering tools. Work with other departments to implement changes based on this analysis.
Run multiple projects concurrently, including hardware, software, and reporting projects using the resources inside your department.
Identify engineering department staff underperformance and apply effective, progressive discipline when needed to help employees improve and become successful.
Create engineering training programs that enable staff to achieve their potential and support companys engineering objectives.
Put in place policies, procedures, systems to support the success of the Engineering Department.
Travel as needed for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationships.
Ability to generate and analyze statistical reports using data in our ERP system.

Job Requirements:
Minimum three (3) years management experience.
Experience with ERP systems. Epicor is preferred. Microsoft Office 365 proficiency.
Significant elevator industry experience or similar electro-mechanical experience is required. This would include a strong, working knowledge of both technical and business aspects of this unique industry.
Some out-of-state travel will be required, often involving multiple nights during trips.
A two-year college degree is required.
