We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated, and detail-oriented self-starter to join our Surveying Group as a Party Chief. This position will be an extension of our remote team for the DFW area. Under limited direction performs construction, control, boundary, topographic, and as-builts title surveys for our clients in support of any of the various services the company provides. Previous experience as a party chief or as a knowledgeable instrument operator is required.
Responsibilities:
Doing feasibility assessments and site inspections
Proper operation and maintenance of the equipment for GPS and/or conventional survey projects.
Research existing record information including record maps, plans, deeds, easements, and right-of-way documents
when necessary
Maintain field data records and survey project files.
Complete projects in a timely, efficient, and effective manner with deadlines and budgets in mind
Requirements:
Comprehensive understanding and ability to operate all typical instrumentation for field data collection to include electronic total stations, GPS, and other equipment deemed necessary.
Attention to detail and ability to execute all tasks, including surveying, field calculations, and preparation of various survey reports
Desire to exceed customer expectations and learn new skills
Must have experience with residential construction surveying (Envelope Staking, Form Checks, Final Surveys).
Must have a valid driver's license and transportation. Mileage to and from job sites will be reimbursed at $0.65 per mile.
