Survey Party Chief-DFW Area
Cornerstone Engineering and Surveying (CES) is hiring! We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated, and detail-oriented self-starter to join our Surveying Group as a Party Chief. This position will be an extension of our remote team for the DFW area and is not required to report to an office on a daily basis. Travel to job sites across the DFW area will be required. Salary for this position will be based on experience and qualifications.
Job Description
Under limited direction, performs construction, control, boundary, topographic, and as-builts title surveys for our clients in support of any of the various services the company provides. Previous experience as a party chief, or as a knowledgeable instrument operator is required.
Duties and Required Skills
● Has comprehensive understanding and the ability to operate all typical instrumentation for field data collection including robotic total station, GPS, and other equipment deemed necessary
● Responsible for the proper operation and maintenance of all survey equipment
● Ability to read and research existing record information including record maps, plans, deeds, easements, and right-of-way documents when necessary
● Maintains field data records and survey project files
● Attention to detail and ability to execute tasks including field calculations and various survey reports
● Desire to exceed customer expectations and learn new skills
● Completes Projects in a timely, efficient, and effective manner with deadlines and budgets in mind
● Must have experience with residential construction surveying (Envelope Staking, Form Surveys, Final Grade Surveys), Topographic Surveys, and ALTA surveys
● Must have a valid driver's license and transportation. Mileage to and from job sites will be reimbursed at $0.65 per mile.
