Equipment Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our Equipment Consulting team in Plano, TX or Alpharetta, GA. This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with a well-rounded skill set to join the Equipment Consulting team, whose responsibilities extend beyond those of traditional engineers. The ideal person for this role will need to not only have a strong grasp of Electrical Engineering but also be flexible and a strategic thinker able to take on a variety of tasks.As a member of the Equipment Consulting team, this individual will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and collaborate with experienced professionals on complex assignments. This role offers exposure to diverse client engagements and the opportunity to apply technical expertise while developing professionally in a dynamic consulting environment.

Job Responsibilities:Inspect and evaluate damages to different types of electrical and electronic systems, such as, circuit breakers, transformers, power distribution, switchgear, generators, bus ducts, information technology equipment, electronic systems, and a variety of other electrical/electronic equipment.Conduct configuration audits.Analyze requirements and specifications to determine comparable equipment replacements.Research equipment repair and replacement costs, including both new and used options. Evaluate repairability in comparison with replacement cost to support recommendations.Determine fair market equipment appraisals. Expected to produce 3+ page written reports regularly.Travel to loss site locations to conduct inspections/assessments and meetings with our Clients and the Insured, vendors, and manufacturers' representatives. Depending on workload travel is typically weekly for 2-3 days and out of state. Larger projects could increase travel duration and return visits.
